Quarantine Birthday

Never in my life, I've thought that I would be celebrating my birthday  in a Lockdown mode

So May came a month and a half after the lockdown and here I am celebrating my birthday with Mom in our house without any visitors.

 Since it was my birthday  I did indulge a little for myself!

I usually go shop at Urban from time to time when there are very good deals and I guess for this one I  snagged a JACKPOT!


I barely wear flats at work due to my constant moving and lifting boxes, so I  tend to wear more sneakers than flats or sandals. So for me to buy these cute flats are just so unexpected ... either they were comfy or because they were such a good bargain.

2019

My first post of   the  year  as  2019  comes in and I did welcome it  with open arms

Didn't plan anything festive  for this  day, but instead  took a glass of  wine and waited for that NYC  drop off  countdown . Lots of stuff  going thru my head thinking ot the stuffs  I wanted to  change for this coming year.

Well, here are the few thing I would like to  do  for 2019 and I hope I can keep  it this time!

Here is the list  :

1. Save money and get those savings up!
2. Travel  ( Go  back home in Phils and also  visit the bestie in UK )
3. Get  to  drive  and no more use of UBER ???
4. Master a language (s)
5. Get fit and eat healthy .
6. Be more involve in volunteering

Bad habits that I need to  get rid.

1.  Shoppaholic
2. Eating alot. 

As 2018  bids goodbye with all the pain and heartaches and challenges here comes 2019.

Art is one of my passions in life and people who know me better know this ...

I am so ecstatic to find out that a new Gallery shop had opened in the Courtside of the King of Prussia Mall. Just strolling along, I stumble upon this humble little shop after my long day shift at work.

This shop was fascinating and such full of humor of its own.

I want to almost buy everything in this shop.

The paintings, jewelry (especially the earrings ) & home decor.  I could not help myself to buy these adorable things 

Art is beautiful 

It is an expression of ideas and individualism.

It just how you want to express yourself and be yourself.

In Art, I find peace and I can curate my own creative self.

So, shall I start Painting again???

I definitely would love to see this  gallery shop to blossom  in  the future ( keeping my fingers cross )

HELLO KITTY CAFE TRUCK ... Destination PENNSYLVANIA !

I was in today for my morning shift at 10am and as always I am aware of my surroundings until I see teens, kids, and even adults like me carrying a baby pink shopping bag with a familiar character in my childhood days.

I've been an avid fan and collector of Hello Kitty since I was a kid. And I guess the nostalgic character has aged but still cuter than before. Given that I am Hello Kitty Addict, I had to check the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck that had been traveling around the country.

YES !!! 

Finally, they stopped at Philadelphia East Coast. 

After work, I finally dashed out into the sparsely snow-covered ground where the truck was parked.

I wish I could get the delicious pastries and cakes they serve in Cali, but despite that, I had a wonderful time going inline ( in this brrr cold weather of course ) and getting the stuff that I wanted.

All American All Time Fav Super Bowl Foodie - Buffalo Wings

Hubby was craving for  some buffalo  wings so  , I  obliged since we are only a month married , gotta show hubby my cooking skills and I  won't let him  down  , of course .

As much  as possible I  try  to use  Organic chicken since hubby is into  that.

Ingredients: 

1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

25 chicken wings

1/2 cup buttermilk

1/4 cup  of sesame seeds

5 Pcs. Stalk  of  Chives ( chopped ) 
1/2 cup hot pepper sauce (such as Frank's RedHot®)

1/2 cup sweet chili sauce (such as Frank's RedHot®)

1/2 cup bbq ( Korean brand is a must . any  will do )

Cooking time  : 1 hr and 35 minutes (  tops )

Prep Time : 20 minutes

1. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and lightly grease with cooking spray. 
2. Place the  cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and salt into a resealable plastic bag, and shake to mix. Add the chicken wings, seal, and toss until well coated with the mixture. 
3. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
4. Whisk together the melted butter and hot sauce in a small bowl. Dip the wings into the butter mixture, and place back on the baking sheet. 
5. Bake in the preheated oven until the chicken is no longer pink in the center, and crispy on the outside, about 45 minutes. Turn the wings over halfway during cooking so they cook evenly.
6. Coat them with your favorite sauces for flavor.

Hubby liked the all American red hot wing style & the bunchon Korean style BBQ that I made ^_^ .

THE SILK ROAD JOURNEY"  helped me a little bit  to compose this mini thought in my head .

Since I  was able to  capture a beautiful  photo  of the sky  last 10 October   ,  I  decided to transfer the  thought in my photo .

OC, MD 2013 Part 2

Early  morning came and we are craving for something to  munch on that is sweet , so  while everyone was taking  their showers and cooking some Pinoy breakfast  , cousin  Kristyn and I went to  one of the famous  sweets you can ever find in  OC, MD .....



FRACTURED PRUNE ! forget about  Krispy Kreme nor dunkin donut and other  these babies are one of the best  donuts ever I  tasted.

We were a lil early which is good because  the lines on  this joint  gets really long .

Ocean City . Maryland 2013

Whenever October  comes , my  family   goes to  Ocean City, Maryland  for a weekend get away, and this year it was my baby   nephew  Liam's 1st  vacay  outside of his comfort zone in  New York  City ...


My cousin  Sheree and her family left  NYC  around 9:30am   and arrived in  KOP, PA around 12:30ish or  so  and since I  was still  working that  d


We met cuzzo Kristyn  in  Olive Garden which  was located in

As we get to our meeting place cuzzo  Krstyn  was our designated   driver, and did she knows the backways  to  get there faster and  elude the weekend  traffic .  Left  around 4:30ish  in  PA so  we arrived in   Ocean City Maryland around 8:30pm .

We decided  to stroll along the boardwalk at night even the weather wasn't really cooperating  since it was pretty  much  cold and windy  .

got some famous  milkshakes from Dumsers who  were about to close by  the time  we were arrived.

We walked and walked and then cuzzo Krystin   wanted  to see if there were ghost  crabs  roaming around the ocean lol so  I  gladly  went with  her while cuzzo  Kris stay  behind one of  the  bleachers ( I  can't blame her she was wearing some ankle boots and it was darn cold  )

So  we went to  the Marina and  and

LUAU PARTY

Filipino  gatherings are a fun way  to  get out of the stress and meet old friends you haven't seen around for quite some time .

I was  really glad that  I went to  attend tita Carrie's 60th birthday  bash  which  was themed HAWAIIAN LUAU PARTY ( unfotunately not everyone was wearing  Hawaiian  themed dress or shirts ) .


Anyways regardless of not everyone was wearing Hawaiian dress or shirts the party  was still  fun naman of course .


Me, mom and Tita Shonie and Liby  prep ourselves up  in  tita's place and  then went to  drive to  tita Nora's place so  that  we can have convoys  because literally speakign tita Shonie doesn't have any idea hot to get to  Tita Carrie's place.

The  party  started at 5:30  but  we ended  up  arriving  around  6pm  (  30 mins Filipino  time di  ba? :P )

There were lots of people already  at the Alarcon residence  and yummy food everywhere.

The  funny thing I am glad I  brought with  me my  DSLR camera , I  kinda became the  photographer of the party  which  is  nice I  can  pratice more on  my skills  as a photographer yah  know :) (  iphone came , i don't rely some much on it .. DSLR still  the best  )
