OC, MD 2013 Part 2

Early  morning came and we are craving for something to  munch on that is sweet , so  while everyone was taking  their showers and cooking some Pinoy breakfast  , cousin  Kristyn and I went to  one of the famous  sweets you can ever find in  OC, MD .....



FRACTURED PRUNE ! forget about  Krispy Kreme nor dunkin donut and other  these babies are one of the best  donuts ever I  tasted.

We were a lil early which is good because  the lines on  this joint  gets really long .

So after eating breakfast  taking our shower and getting ready  , we  went out  to  go  roaming around with the girls.

the weather wasn't really cooperting since  it's was gloomy  , windy   and  bleh :/

恭禧發財( Gong Hey Fat Choy) HAPPY NEW YEAR ^_^

It's that  time of the year again , and of course we didn't forget to  celebrate the start  of the Lunar Chinese New Year, although we don't celebrate this family tradition as we used too,  we still  pay respect to  those ancestors  who  had instilled upon us the value  of  having family  dinners or get togethers this  year and what is the true meaning of this celebration.

Chinese language was one of the languages  I wasn't able to  master ( I'm sure Apong would be so  disappointed ) , but I am contemplating in taking Chinese language again ( and hopefully this  time I'll be paying  more attention )... There are two  ways of saying it and these are:

 Gong Xi Fa Cai(Mandarin)

 and 

Gong Hey Fat Choy(Cantonese)

We got our Nian Gao  ( Sticky Rice in English &  Tikoy is the Filipino Tagalog term ) & some moon cakes yum yum . 

Of course mom gave me my own  HONG BAO ( those little red small envelopes with money that are given during this season to kids ) .... 

Yea I got mine and my bro got one too  , I  guess we are not  too old to be given these things 0_* .

Volt & Andrea Nuptials{ January 18. 2012 }

One of my  cousins  got  hitch last  January  18. 2012 ( did I  mention that he is one of my  ADING cousins .. tsk tsk naunahan na naman ako  :P )

 I  should have posted this after the invite , however  I needed to  ask permissions from various owners of pictures and videos before I could publish such  post ...

We weren't able to attend this very festive event specially that most of the relatives from the Mom's side are all  here in the states, but regardless of the distance , when I  saw the MV and the pictures it's

AWESOME !

I'm very sure that my late aunt , Tita Bebot is proud and happy that  my cousin found his better half .

A Fallen Brother

We usually celebrate our Memorial Day  by  just  watching parades and tributes in the television while we chow  down  in an ALL AMERICAN FOOD TRIP

But  this year, it's all different,  we had to go to church  and then stopped by  at around 10am in St Augustine Cemetery  which is usually the nearest  cemetery  that honors servicemen that  had passed away ... and one of those men in uniform is my late uncle Roger who had passed away  last Year ( DEC. 10. 2011)

It's still painful  to  think  that  Uncle  Roger is gone and he is not here with with us anymore,  it is gonna be a different year  for  all  the  occasions that  we celebrate.

It was  around last  week when I  got  a call  from  my  cousin  ,

It was already  around 10pmish or something when  i  finally  picked up  the  phone .

Iza: Cuz! KAKASAL NA AKO! ( uber happy )

Moi: WHAATT ? ( happy  and gulat  with kasamang sigh .. NGEK NAUNAHAN PA AKO NG BABY  CUZ KO   )

Iza : Yes cuz pno nagpropose kahapon  e ! ( super happy  and kilig )

She  wanted my  mom  ( here mom's sister ) to be one of  the Ninangs and of course my  mom  is very  grateful  for that!

She also  wanted me to  help  her with  her Wedding Preps yah  know  the usual  stuffs such as photographers  and Coordinators .

I  used to  have a Wedding coordinating business in  Philippines but  since I reside here in  the States , it's kinda hard to  handle  the business , ( mas maganda kase if HANDS ON )

I  gladly  said  yes to  help  her in her preps regardless that  I'm far from  her, but I'm pulling my  strings together to  help  her with  it :)

And another tribute is  I'll  be making them their wedding website :)

This future HUSBAND & WIFE will be the most COOLEST DOCTORS  ever ( di ba halata sa pictures nila ) !



So Happy for  my cousin ( sighs .. .Kelan kaya  ako  mag walk down the aisle din  tsk tsk  ? LOL )
